Prime Minister Zoran Zaev currently has a total of 63 advisers, 39 of whom are hired as external associates, writes IRL. The Prime Minister has employed state advisors and special advisors (24) and has the right to hire an unlimited number of external advisers. Such an adviser may receive a one-off fee, be involved in a project for a certain period of time, and also be on the list of regular monthly fees.

University professor at the Macedonian Literature Department, Venko Andonovski and Aleksandar Ruzin, son of former diplomat and current professor at FON, Nano Ruzin, are among the new names with a regular monthly fee, both hired earlier this year.

Ruzin is a diplomatic adviser to the prime minister. Every month he receives 50,000 denars to give advice on “economic, social and cultural cooperation with the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) and France”.

Andonovski’s contract, however, expires at the end of the year. He has been hired in the project “Designing the structure and function, preparing and examining concrete possibilities on the ground for opening a state Macedonian Cultural Center for in Serbia”. Monthly he receives 40,000 denars fee.
