Another statement, ostensibly from the missing BESA member of Parliament Kastriot Rexhepi, was posted today on his Facebook page. In it, he announces a press conference on Monday.

I thank you for the care and support you give me. In the coming days you will be informed in more detail about everything. Regarding the media and their great interest, I inform them that my first public appearance will be on Monday, for a press conference, the statement reads. It also includes a call to his BESA party to act “without emotions, and with reason”.

Rexhepi went missing yesterday morning, as the Parliament was preparing for a vote of no confidence in the Zaev Government. Rexhepi signed on to the motion, which had 61 signatures – the bare minimum needed for it to succeed. After his disappearance, the vote was canceled, and the Zaev regime remains in place for the time being. His fellow party members are accusing Zaev and his coalition partner Ali Ahmeti of holding Rexhepi hostage to prevent him from voting against the Government.
