After several days of attacks on the candidate for mayor of the City of Skopje Danela Arsovska, she addresses the citizens in a public letter.

In recent days we have witnessed a strong black campaign against me and my family. At the end of this campaign, I want to address you directly and honestly, that I, Danela Arsovska, asked for your support as a person without a single stain in my life and I received that support.

Unlike my opponents, I did not launch any negative campaign against them. I do not need such a thing, because the local election should be a struggle of ideas and projects at the city level. Unfortunately, this election was made a source of fake news and black campaigns.

They announced that now my father, mother, husband and child will be targets of attacks. It is also an attack on me as someone’s child, someone’s wife, someone’s mother.

Nobody deserves such a black campaign, nobody deserves to be the subject of montages, forgeries and edited videos to make fun of someone. No one in this country deserves to be humiliated and insulted. Because the one who does it shows arrogance and weakness. Because the one who does it wants to hide his crimes and avoid responsibility.

Now I look straight at them, my opponents, because now there are two, the outgoing mayor and the outgoing prime minister with a message – We will defeat you! It’s over!

Now I say clearly and loudly – everything you have said so far is a lie. You know that too, but you want to continue your black campaign because you have nothing else to do. One of my opponents is known for lying to the people of Skopje and in 4 years he achieved only 5% of the promised projects. And the other is known for continuously bargaining with the Macedonian national interests.

I said they were lying, I asked for an apology, and I received new attacks and threats against me and my family.

I have won many more terrible battles in my life, and I will win now because I am not a person who gives up.

How desperate and sad it is instead of fighting with quality and projects to fight with lies. A message to the leaders of the black campaign – you should know that the people of Skopje have the last word, I received thousands of messages and calls for support not to give up because the projects for the people of Skopje will win and not the black campaign.

My dear citizens of Skopje,

We must end the divisions. We must put an end to the bad management of the city. Skopje deserves more than what is happening to it now.

We will respond to their hatred with new hope, change, good deeds and responsible work. The changes are here, let us all unite for a modern and more beautiful Skopje, Arsovska said in the letter to the public.
