MP Antonio Milososk proposes lawsuits for endangering life and health by anyone who will suffer more serious harmful health consequences due to Covid-19, due to violation of the civil right to life, with untimely and inefficient health care.

Covid-19 vaccination started two days ago in Serbia, Greece, Slovenia, Turkey and other countries in the region, as a health measure. In Macedonia, the state has not procured a vaccine, nor the charity from countries that have timely procured vaccines from manufacturers has come. This seriously violates the civil right to life by the state, with untimely and inefficient health care. Therefore, from yesterday onward, every citizen or family that will suffer more serious harmful health consequences due to Covid-19, or the same results in a tragic outcome, has a legal right to sue the state for them or their close family to seek compensation. The basis for protection of this right of the citizens, as well as the basis for a lawsuit before the Macedonian courts or before the Court in Strasbourg are Article 39 of the Constitution, Article 2 of the Convention for Protection of Human Rights, as well as the obligations of the state set out in the Law on Health Care, says Milososki.
