Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama decided to move the initial part of the Open Balkan summit with Zoran Zaev and Aleksandar Vucic from Tirana to the city of Elbasan. The decision comes after the opposition Democratic Party announced protests in Tirana, as it considers the initiative to be a Serbian dominated.

The meeting is scheduled to begin later this evening. As usual, it will be attended by Alexander Soros, son of leftist billionaire with extensive interests in the Balkans George Soros.

The summit continues tomorrow morning in Tirana, if the security situation allows it. European Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi will also attend the meeting tomorrow. The planned walk through Tirana has been canceled.
