Defense Minister Radmila Sekerinska denied that she is preparing to be the interim Prime Minister after January 3rd, when Zoran Zaev resigns his position. Her chief rival for this post, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski, said that it is too early to discuss this issue.

We’ll have that discussion when the time is right. It is absolutely not the moment to discuss the issue of who will be technical Prime Minister. It saps our time and energy, Sekerinska said.

In a press conference she asked the European Union to deliver on what it promised – the opening of accession talks in exchange for the treaties signed with Greece and Bulgaria.

Spasovski was also asked about who will take over from Zaev in the 100 days before the elections. He said that “at the time it is irrelevant and we will work to make the lives of the people better”.
