Following the failure of the decision to stop selling bus tickets in the vehicles, the city of Skopje plans to reintroduce this option, albeit at a high price.

Currently bus tickets have to be bought with electronic refill cards or using a mobile phone, which creates long lines and making it nearly impossible for visitors from abroad or other cities to get around using the public transportation.

To fix the problem, Mayor Petre Silegov announced that the JSP public transport company will introduce tickets costing 50 denars (0.8 EUR) which will be sold at the bus.
