A total of 39 patients in Macedonia lost the battle with Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health informed on Friday. Out of 3,200 COVID-19 tests carried out in Macedonia in the past 24 hours, 1,237 new cases were registered. This is the second grim record of Covid-19 deaths in one day. The first one was 40.

Among the 39 dead were a 38-year-old patient and two 44-year-olds. Ten of the deceased patients are from Skopje (aged 73, 84, 63, 61, 83, 38, 77, 76, 62 and 76), one from Kumanovo (aged 76), one from Stip (aged 51), three from Prilep (aged 71, 57 and 56), one from Tetovo (aged 65), six from Veles (aged 76, 59, 81, 63, 81 and 85), five from Bitola (aged 68, 65, 44, 76 and 69), two from Ohrid (aged 54 and 63), six from Strumica (aged 72, 85, 71, 54, 77 and 71), one from Krusevo (aged 44), one from Kocani (aged 67), one from Kicevo (aged 67) and one from Negotino (aged 67). 

New cases were registered in Skopje-506, Kumanovo-34, Stip-55, Prilep-91, Tetovo-51, Struga-31, Veles-67, Bitola-30, Ohrid-26, Kavadarci-31, Gostivar-75, Gevgelija-23, Strumica- 38, Kriva Palanka-8, Radovis-11, Krusevo-12, Kocani-15, Probistip-3, Demir Hisar-7, Makedonski Brod-4, Berovo-1, Valandovo-6, Vinica-3, Delcevo-2, Kratovo -5, Sveti Nikole-24, Kicevo-36, Resen-13, Negotino-29.

The Public Health Institute registered today 748 recovered patients from all over the country.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Macedonia has registered 52,449 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 30,952 people have recovered. The death toll stands at 1,462. At the moment, there are 20,0035 active cases across the country.
