Citizens in Tetovo, Kumanovo and Prilep will be ordered to begin wearing face masks and gloves whenever they venture outside starting on Wednesday.

This is the latest decree planned by the Government. Kumanovo and Prilep have had a major spike in coronavirus cases over the past weeks. The measure is meant to be tried out in these three cities with the goal of having it expanded over the rest of Macedonia.

Tetovo Mayor Teuta Arifi quickly came out against the decree, demanding that it is mandated only in closed areas but not on the streets. She said that she will demand that the Government supplies masks to the citizens of Tetovo or divides a cash sum for their purchase.
