A court in Skopje rejected the appeal from former UCK/KLA fighter Tomor Morina, to be released from the 30 days detention he was ordered into after crossing into Macedonia.
Morina is arrested on a Serbian arrest warrant, for war crimes against civilians he allegedly perpetrated during the 1999 Kosovo war. Serbia wants Morina extradited for trial. His arrest sparked a protest from Kosovo and fury among ethnic Albanian politicians in Macedonia, who demanded that Prime Minister Zoran Zaev frees Morina.
