The Healthcare Ministry reported very high 26 deaths and near record 1,321 newly diagnosed cases of the coronavirus.
The deaths were reported in Skopje (7), Ohrid (2), Stip (2), Struga (2), Bitola (2), Radovis (2) and in Prilep, Tetovo, Veles, Kavadarci, Gostivar, Strumica, Kriva Palanka and Delcevo. Their ages ranged from 50 to 82. All died during treatment, in hospital. The total death toll now stands at 1,212.

The new 1,321 cases were diagnosed out of 3,836 tests. Skopje has 583 new cases, Kumanovo – 100 and Tetovo has 80. The number of active cases holds steady at 15,975. Of them about half are in Skopje, and Tetovo has 963, followed by Kumanovo with 738.

The number of patients at the Infectious Diseases Clinic is 155, while the 8th of September hospital treats 79 patients – seven of them on mechanical ventilation. Several clinics in the Mother Teresa complex which recently opened Covid-19 wards treat nearly a 100 patients and the Kozle children’s hospital has 11 children and 27 adults.

In regional Covid-19 centers, Stip treats 60 patients from the east of the country, while Bitola has 80 patients from the south-west. General hospitals across Macedonia have additional 534 patients.
