The Healthcare Ministry reported that 26 people died of Covid-19 over the past day. The ages of the deceased ranged from 44 to 89. Nine of them were from the capital Skopje, three from Prilep and two each from Kumanovo, Veles and Bitola. The total death toll of the epidemic now stands at 2,401.

The Ministry also registered 489 new cases of the illness, from a total of 1,892 tests that were conducted. About half of the new cases are in Skopje, followed by Kumanovo, Ohrid and Prilep, where the cases are in the 20-ies.

There are 20,313 active cases across the country – the numbers show a continued slight decline from the highs reached earlier this month. Skopje has 11,553 cases, Tetovo remains stubbornly high with 933 cases, while other cities have at most in the 500 and 600-hundreds.
