All Ministry of Interior employees will be covered by the vetting process, including a check-up of their vocational education, integrity, property and possible criminal activities by certain structures within the ministry, said Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski on Monday.

Judges and prosecutors, among others, stressed Spasovski, should have an interest in vetting in order to strengthen the professionalism and integrity of building a system that works to protect the state and the citizens and will not depend either on politics or on politicians, but a system that will protect the rule of law and create opportunities for development.

Answering a journalist question whether he is familiar with the existence of double agents employed in the Ministry of Interior, Spasovski responded that the process of vetting in the Security and Counter-Intelligence Directorate has already begun.

I want the commissions to determine that. It is not good to speculate to be attractive in the media, but to determine and make the right decisions, said the Minister of Interior.
