The election headquarters of presidential candidate Blerim Reka says Sunday’s first round was held in a fair and democratic atmosphere with a small number of irregularities.

According to the campaign manager Ramadan Rexhepi, the low turnout is a concern, which only confirms their claim that a quarter of the country’s population has emigrated.

Asked if they would urge their voters to support some of the other candidates if Reka failed to enter the second round, Rexhepi said they would leave it up to them to decide.

Voting is a democratic right and every person owns their vote. We will not ask our supporters to vote for any of the other two candidates, said Rexhepi.
