After speculations in Macedonia are increasing that after more than 20 years in power it is time for DUI to rest a little in opposition, and thus their leader Ali Ahmeti to retire, the fight for the throne in the party began, writes the news portal “Vecer.mk”.

As the news portal writes, with certain actions of politicians, it can be freely concluded that Macedonia will be facing early parliamentary elections, and a change of government is more and more certain.

The current government of SDSM and DUI is sinking day by day, although some analysts praised the fierce start of Kovacevski as Prime Minister, now after more than two months with him at the head of the Macedonian government, that fierceness is reduced to a blown balloon.

SDSM officials in public are considered people who spend the day sitting in their comfortable chairs, instead of serving the citizens.

Unlike them, their coalition partner, the “untouchable” DUI, has not given up the throne for more than 20 years.

They do not give the throne, and they do not choose means for that throne. Namely, in the world, a party that has been in power for more than 6-8 years is considered to be able to “go off the rails” easily, and thus corruption to become their trademark. Such is the case with DUI.

Ali Ahmeti, better known as the shadow prime minister, does not allow DUI to go into opposition and its officials to “go off the rails”. The moment that happens, Ahemti reacts. For example, Izet Mexhiti, the former mayor of Cair, at the moment when it was hinted that he could “go off the rails”, immediately was lectured by Ahmeti. Today, the same Izet Mexhiti is sitting quietly in the parliamentary chair and listening to orders.

But, when it is more and more certain that DUI has a great chance to go into opposition, two well-known names from that party surfaced. Artan Grubi and Bujar Osmani, both extremely loyal to Ahmeti.

Namely, Bujar Osmani, who is a doctor by profession, became known to the Macedonian public after he became Minister of Health in the government of VMRO-DPMNE and DUI, and Artan Grubi after those unfortunate events in Skopje’s Kale, after a fight between fan groups. The public remembers well when in front of the police Grubi ordered them to remove the handcuffs of a member of a fan group.

Then Artan Grubi from an ordinary employee in a foreign embassy or as he likes to say, TRANSLATOR, becomes the closest person to Ali Ahmeti, they almost behave like a father and a son.

At all the events where Ahmeti is present, Grubi can be seen there, of course as a translator, because Ali Ahmeti “does not speak Macedonian”.

In DUI, as in most parties, there are several wings, Izet Mexhiti and Teuta Arifi on one side, and Artan Grubi and Bujar Osmani on the other. Ali Ahmeti burned the first two, so the fight for the throne in DUI remained to be fought between the second, Grubi and Osmani.

One is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the other is the Minister of Political System, a ministry which, if we remember correctly, was part of that famous “Tirana Platform” which is well implemented in Macedonia.

Bujar Osmani replaced Nikola Dimitrov in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after the latter signed the Prespa Agreement, so Osmani will now have the task of reaching an agreement with the Bulgarians.

Artan Grubi has a much easier task, which will give him an advantage over Osmani in the battle for the throne in DUI. Grubi has the task to implement all those policies that DUI thinks will bring political gain  among the Albanians, the nationalist ones, although they have recently declared themselves as a green party, even though the nothing in common with green, but that is a topic for another occasion. The latest thing is Grubi’s announcement about the bilingual police uniforms. He made an unprecedented spectacle and boasted on Facebook about it.
