President Stevo Pendarovski appointed the former Albanian terrorist commander Hazbi Lika, who is currently Deputy Prime Minister in Zoran Zaev’s Government, as a member of the Council set to coordinate the work of the intelligence agencies.

The move is a nod to the Albanian DUI party, where Lika belongs, who was enraged after Pendarovski appointed Erold Musliu as head of the Intelligence Agency. Musliu was reportedly leaked reports to the press which revealed that DUI party leaders have collaborated with Yugoslav
intelligence.
