The Macedonian government distanced itself from former adviser Ivana Jordanovska, who tweeted offensive messages to French President Emmanuel Macron after he said it was not time for Macedonia to start EU accession talks. The government says that Joranovska has not been working in the government since August last year and that her views are personal.

Ivana Jordanovska has not been working in the Government since August 2018. The views expressed may be her personal opinions alone and may in no way be related to or be associated with the Government’s views and policies. The Government does not support and condemns hate speech in any form, a government spokesman wrote in the reaction.
