Macedonia needs stability and predictability and PM Zoran Zaev’s resignation is a hasty move, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Political System Artan Grubi said at a meeting Wednesday with Olin Wethington, International Republican Institute (IRI) board member.

Grubi and Wethington discussed the political situation in the country, with special emphasis on the local elections and the period after their completion.

According to the office of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Grubi told Olin Wethington that the country needs stability in policies, despite the energy crisis, which is expected to affect not only Macedonia but the whole of Europe. The meeting also discussed the health crisis, as well as the continuation of talks with Bulgaria, as well as the strict implementation of the Prespa Agreement.

At the end of the meeting, Grubi thanked him that the US IRI remains a strong supporter of Macedonia on its path to development and integration into the European Union.
