Former MP Zekirija Ibraimi testified Friday in the Skopje Criminal Court over the events of April 27, 2017. He described how the whole day went and that as a deputy coordinator he had a meeting with the then Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski, which was also attended by Radmila Sekerinska. It was then agreed that the session would continue the next day, Friday 28 April.

He said that as deputy coordinator he had the right to a procedural address and that he made several addresses from the rostrum that day.

Ibraimi explained why he decided to sing the Albanian anthem.

According to him, the leader of Besa, Bilal Kasami, had a TV interview a few days earlier where he said that Albanians do not feel good when they listen to the national anthem.

But since Zekirija wrote his speeches, Kasami should have actually said that Albanians do not feel represented in the anthem.

At the session, the MPs from VMRO-DPMNE remarked to the MPs of SDSM that they are cooperating with a party that does not feel good with the national anthem. When Krsto Mukoski sang the Macedonian anthem, I went out and sang the Albanian one. And it was my personal decision, said Ibraimi.
