Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski says he is not satisfied with the speed at which the Western Balkan countries are moving towards the European family, stressing that Europe must be more resolute on that issue. In an interview with Radio Television Montenegro, he noted that Macedonia is one hundred percent agreeing with Montenegro when it comes to the vision of the region, especially in regard to the European and Euro-Atlantic future.

I hope it will go faster. What kind of message is that for us, we have not yet begun the accession negotiations. If you are negotiating for seven years and there is still no light at the end of the tunnel, then what should I tell my citizens about how long this will last, 15-20 years ?, Pendarovski said in the interview.

Everything they asked of us, we delivered, including difficult compromises. It is now Europe’s turn to deliver what it has promised, he adds.
