Former Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski, who was taken Tuesday evening to the “September 8” hospital has been returned to the Sutka prison, the prison warden, Esad Rahik told Republika.

Janakieski was taken for examination after he complained of abdominal pain and nausea.

The hospital director confirmed to Sitel that Janakievski was admitted to the Emergency Center with kidney pain around 19h. He had an echo examination, laboratory tests and an X-ray scan and was examined by a urologist. The doctors gave him therapy and he stayed at the hospital until the pain was reduced, after which the prison police returned him to the Shutka prison.

Janski is in custody since June 28, and has been on a hunger strike for 12 days. His wife Sanja Janakieski already warned about his poor health condition, and the media also reported that he was exhausted, refusing any food and that he was in a poor state, both mentally and physically. His family denies speculation in some media that Janakieski received food only from home.
