A new letter from Katica Janeva has arrived at “Ruzveltova 34”. According to Sitel, the former special prosecutor has made several requests in the letter.

In addition to getting her personal belongings, Janeva also wrote about the so-called “mutual fund” of the special prosecution, which she personally managed.

Unofficially she wanted that budget to be used to cover her defense costs during the criminal proceedings.

The lawyer of the former SPO chief, Irena Frckoska, says she has no information that her client has sent a letter asking the “mutual fund” of the prosecution staff to be used for her defense.

Janeva’s new letter is not being commented on by anyone in the SPO, but several prosecutors have confirmed that prosecution staff were allocating money for a fund that was used for mutual needs.

The former special prosecutor, after spending 30 days in prison on Tuesday will be questioned again at the Prosecutor’s Office for organized crime and corruption prosecution. She will face Vilma Ruskovska as a suspect in the “Racket” case for the first time.

The first suspect in this case, Bojan Jovanovski, is summoned for questioning on Monday. His lawyer says the interrogation will be in relation to the “Racket” case only over the suspicions for which he is in jail, but not over other circumstances because the investigation has not been expanded.

Jovanovski, Milevski and Janeva are suspected of receiving a reward, abuse of power and money laundering.

According to the investigation, they jointly influenced businessman Orce Kamcev to be released from custody, for which he paid 1.5m euros.
