VMRO-DPMNE Secretary General Igor Janusev called on the prosecutors working on the growing racketeering scandal to immediately expand their investigation toward the suspected SDSM party officials and Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva. Janusev said that there can be no justice while the country is led by Zoran Zaev, a person who was pardoned or suspiciously acquitted from three serious criminal cases.

The judges didn’t see the crime which was visible to the entire public, when Zaev was shown on tape asking for bribes, and now we expect them to act professionally in this case? How can we expect the judges led by Dobrila Kacarska and the prosecutors led by Vilma Ruskoska to act independently? This is all Zaev’s fault – he compromised our judiciary in order to get himself pardoned for his crimes, Janusev said.

On the same day when Zaev called on the opposition to support his proposal for a new law on state prosecutors, Janusev said that Zaev has no credibility to talk about justice.

We have victims of these criminals step up daily and go public about what was done to them. Millions were extorted in the past two years and this could not have happened without the say so from the leadership of the Government. If this was a country that respects the rule of law, justice and interior ministers would have resigned on day one, and the entire Government shortly after, said Janusev.
