VMRO-DPMNE Secretary General Igor Janusev listed dozens of violations of election laws and regulations. These include hiring public sector employees during the campaign, attacks on opposition activists and using state owned vehicles to get SDSM and DUI officials to pre-election rallies, on top of the systematic campaign of arrests and persecution of the opposition.

In each of the ten days of campaigning, we saw violations of the law. There are 600 new public sector hirings in the city of Skopje utility companies which are going to cost us 350.000 EUR per month, or 4 million EUR. New jobs are being opened in the Customs, in the Macedonia Roads company. Vehicles owned by the Employment Agency and the Youth and Sports Agency are seen at SDSM rallies, even carrying campaign materials, said Janusev.

He pointed out to the most serious instances of attacks on opposition activists so far, including the shocking video of an SDSM official running towards and shouting at a VMRO activist after he was recorded destroying promotional materials for opposition candidate Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova in Aerodrom and the previous late evening attack in near-by Kisela Voda in Skopje.

SDSM is removing any boundaries between the state and their party. These abuses we are witnessing are due to the fact that Zaev and Pendarovski know they are about to lose, Janusev added.
