We still do not have any information that the head of the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office Katica Janeva is involved in the investigation of the Public Prosecutor’s Office into the “Racket” case and that all cases should be cleared, which is in our interest, said Special Prosecutor Lence Ristoska at Tuesday’s press conference.

She added that Katica Janeva’s resignation is a pure coincidence and is not caused by the “Racket” case, but IT is a decision taken in favor of finding a legal solution to the continuation of SPO’s status.

Special Prosecutor Ristoska stressed that the SPO continues its work on behalf of all prosecutors and expert service. She noted that the institution will continue working on preserving integrity and believes that the latest developments have no impact on other cases.

We have always acted in accordance with legal regulations. We are standing behind the work that we have done, all procedures continue and have not been put into question. Our actions are within the legal regulations. We carefully monitor the developments and I urge the principle of presumption of innocence to be respected. Our integrity has not been affected at any moment. Everyone is equal before the Constitution and the laws, and we maintain the position that there must be accountability, but the procedures must be respected, said Ristoska.

She urged everyone to report such activities both as individuals and as an institution and added that the SPO is open to cooperation.

We are here to help exchange evidence and information with other institutions, Ristoska added.
