Lider.mk announced that it will publish serious revelations of crimes and corruption on the part of Jon Frckoski, head of the legal department in the sprawling agency tasked with managing publicly owned real-estate. Frckoski is the son of Ljubomir Frckoski, the once powerful Interior Minister from the murky first years of Macedonian independence.

We expect that state prosecutors will act as soon the documents we have provide evidence for the crimes he committed, the Lider investigative news site said, announcing that the revelations will drop tomorrow morning.  Jon Frckoski is also a deputy leader of the youth organization of the ruling SDSM party.

Frckoski was Interior and Foreign Minister in the early post-independence SDSM governments led by Branko Crvenkovski. He was widely accused for the lawless transition from Communism into an oligarchic style of rule, and recently tried to suppress the publication of a book from Stojan Andov, another post-independence leader who accused Frckoski of involvement in the 1995 assassination attempt on then President Kiro Gligorov.

In 2013 Frckoski was lustrated for abusing the powerful post-Communist secret service to spy on political opponents, but that didn’t reduce his influence in the SDSM party. Frckoski remains a powerful law professor at the Skopje university and was involved in a number of initiatives to make and remake Macedonia’s constitutional order.
