The friendly relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania continue to strengthen with the implementation of projects of common interest, the government press service informed.

The latest result of the friendly relations between the two countries is the decision to reconstruct the joint, primary and secondary school in Pustec, which was part of the conclusions of the joint session of the governments of both countries in Pogradec last year. This decision came as a result of the previous activity of the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and the Minister in charge of Diaspora Affairs Edmond Ademi in the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Albania for the reconstruction of 33 primary and secondary schools in Albania to include the joint primary and secondary school in Pustec, which teaches in Macedonian and in Albanian language. The renovation of the school in Pustec has long been a request of the Macedonian community living in Pustec, and its realization once again confirms the excellent relations between the two countries, and confirms that the Albanians in North Macedonia and the Macedonians in Albania are a bridge for building close relations, reads the government’s press release.
