A 69 year old man from Aerodrom in Skopje was arrested overnight after he opened fire from a pistol at stray dogs.
Neighbors called the police after seeing the man try to shoot the dogs. Skopje has a rampant problem with stray dogs, which often attack citizens or simply disturb the peace with their barking. The main city pound is currently closed while it’s being re-organized under an animal rights friendly administration and the citizens are left without this service. Stray dogs are frequently being poisoned by citizens, and two were recently killed by an ax wielding man, also in Aerodrom.
