Zoran Zaev’s humiliating policy has been defeated and the Macedonia’s EU perspective under Zaev’s leadership was put into question, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said Friday, answering a reporer’s question about Bulgaria’s blockade.

Mickoski estimates that what happened is another proof of the national catastrophe that Zoran Zaev brought upon the Macedonian nation and the citizens of Macedonia, regardless of their ethnic composition, and the Macedonian state.

He added that that is why it would be most honest for Zaev and his team of politicians to resign immediately, so that people who will raise Macedonia from this position can come.

We see what happened to us today, we expect our EU partners to revise their position and already at the ministerial or prime ministerial level to correct it and Macedonia, regardless of whether with this government or any future government, to start the process of EU negotiations. Because these are the values we believe in, and these are the values we deserve to share with our fellow Europeans, he said.

Mickoski said that the current team of positions should immediately resign from their positions and organize early elections at a time when normal health conditions will allow such a thing to happen, and right now, he said, maybe we should start thinking about an idea that started from the Alliance for Albanians, and that is a Government for national salvation, an interim government or some other type of government.

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE also referred to the health situation in Macedonia, which is another great indicator of the incompetence of the politicians who run the country.
