The leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, together with the Vice President of the party, Aleksandar Nikoloski and the Secretary for International Cooperation, Timco Mucunski, met Thursday with Derek Mitchell, President of the US National Democratic Institute (NDI).

Mickoski welcomed the engagement and cooperation of NDI with VMRO-DPMNE and expressed readiness to continue and improve the current cooperation in order to strengthen the democratic processes in the country.

The interlocutors also discussed the results of the local elections, for which Mickoski stressed that the citizens clearly said that changes are needed that will provide a new future and a new stable government that will reflect the demands of the citizens.

All mayors of VMRO-DPMNE will work for a better future of all citizens of the country and implementation of key projects promised in the election campaign, said Mickoski.

At the same time, he pointed out that a full investigation is needed into the abuses of state institutions in the election process and the undemocratic means used by the outgoing government.

The interlocutors agreed that the cooperation with NDI should continue in the future in order to improve the democratic processes in the country.
