All public officials who worked lawfully should be assured that they won’t face any revanchism or pressure, said VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski, as the party is on the verge of taking over local control in many of the key cities and urban centers in Macedonia, and possibly bringing down the Zaev Government. As the second round of the election gets closer, SDSM began warning its supporters in the public administration that they face being fired if VMRO wins.

All who were working in accordance with the law, those who secured for the lives of their children with their salaries have nothing to worry about. But those who violated the law should be worried. It is finally time that we ended the criminalization of our society after 30 years, and to start working honestly, Mickoski said.

He added that the mayors elected from VMRO will review the work of their predecessors and will submit evidence to state prosecutors for all wrongdoing they find.
