There is no longer any doubt that the opposition in Macedonia is uniting. What was predicted is being realized. It all started with a helping hand between VMRO-DPMNE and the Alliance for Albanians and Alternative before the first round and yesterday came support from Levica.

The consolidation of the opposition is especially significant because a convincing victory in the local elections will mean the fall of Zaev’s government, which is already fragile. Besa is one foot out of the coalition with SDSM, and that can formally happen after the obvious defeat of Kasami in Tetovo.

SDSM no longer hides that in Tetovo they will support Teuta Arifi. Kasami will certainly not forgive them and will raise his hand for the fall of Zaev’s government as soon as this issue comes to Parliament.

This consolidation of the opposition is a direct merit of the first man of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski who with his leadership capacity managed to gain the support of the opposition.

Yes, the differences they have may remain, but at the moment the most important thing is that they have a common political enemy, Zoran Zaev, who must be defeated.
