The conference on “Conservative People’s Parties build bridges to a Common European Future” took place Friday in Skopje under the auspices of the German Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation.

In a statement for the media ahead of the conference, VMRO-DPMNE ledader Hristijan Mickoski said that VMRO-DPMNE was looking forward that besides the coalition Alliance for Albanians and Alternativa the conference was also attended by representatives of the sister party from Albania, the Democratic Party in Albania led by Lulzim Basha.

As right-wing conservative parties, sister parties within the European People’s Party, together with our friends here in Macedonia, the Alliance for Albanians and Alternativa, we can contribute to the rapid progress of our country within European integration, implementation of the reform process, of course and practically help the Macedonian citizens regardless of their ethnicity, political affiliation and different opinions. What unites us is the right-wing conservative ideology, but also the reforms. At the same time, I would like to emphasize the fight against corruption and crime, which not only in our country, but also in our western neighbor Albania are widely spread. We believe that as sister parties, as right-wing conservative parties, we can accelerate this process and Macedonia, together with Albania and Kosovo to be part of the EU Family as soon as possible, said Mickoski.
