The ruling SDSM party and its DUI coalition partner had 4.000 political activists hired in the public sector in the past two months, said VMRO-DPMNE Vice-President Vladimir Misajlovski.

During a TV debate with Damjan Mancevski from SDSM and Artan Grubi from DUI, Misajlovski said that the Government began fast-tracking public sector employment against the merit system as soon as it became clear that early elections will be held in 2020.

These 4.000 new hires were ordered to satisfy the needs of your political party. This led to dozens of nepotism investigations. Nepotism has permeated every pore of our society, said Misajlovski.

In the past, Mancevski defended the hiring of close relatives of SDSM party officials, insisting that “it is their turn”.

Misajlovski told the ruling coalition representatives that such practices are pushing young people to leave Macedonia in droves.
