Muslims in Macedonia will have Friday (July 31) off as they celebrate Kurban Bajram or Eid al Adha.
The holiday is instituted in honor of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son to God. In this honor, Muslims traditionally sacrifice sheep and other animals and share the meat with the poor.
