Orthodox Christians in Macedonia celebrate Cvetnici/Palm Sunday, a holiday which honors Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, and begins Passion Week.

The holiday follows Lazarus Saturday, or the resurrection of Lazarus of Bethany.

The Macedonian Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar, and this year Passion Week is one week after the corresponding Gregorian celebrations.
