Macedonia and Albania may be separated from the package due to the start of EU accession negotiations.

Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Bujar Osmani also confirmed these rumors for TV21, but said he hoped that it will not happen.

There are rumors that they might be separated. I would not like that to happen because I think the two countries deserve the start of negotiations, but in the end it is not us who decide, so we should not interfere in this debate whether Albania should get a date or not, Bujar Osmani told TV21.

Osmani said Macedonia was in the last 5 historic weeks when it is expected to get a date for starting the negotiations, so the last attempts to round off the process are being made. He is visiting Stockholm today and then he will continue his agenda in Brussels, Berlin and Paris.
