Foreign Affairs Minister Bujar Osmani held an online meeting with the ambassadors of EU countries in Macedonia to insist that the country is not giving up on its plan to integrate with the neighboring countries, despite the blockade on the EU path that is currently put before it by Bulgaria.

We do not give up on our ambition to continue integrating with our closest neighbors. We wish it will result in stable and high quality good neighborly relations, who will grow into permanent friendship with strong mutual trust, Osmani told the ambassadors, the Ministry briefed the press.

He insisted that Macedonia has already aligned itself to 93 percent of European common foreign policy and security positions and that it shares the values of EU foreign policy. The briefing did not detail Osmani’s expectations with regard to the coming European Council, where Macedonia fears it will be blocked again and won’t be allowed to open EU accession talks.
