A young passenger who went to Istanbul with the Besa company, and was supposed to board the ill fated bus that crashed and burned down south of Sofia, was moved to a different bus due to luggage mix-up.

Xhafer Dolek had a seat on the bus that burnt down, but the hotel staff mistakenly put his bags in a different bus. When he complained, he was told he better goes with the bus where his luggage is in, to avoid losing it. That decision saved his life.

That is our great fortune, we thank the God for this, his father told Sitel TV.

At least 44 people were killed in the disaster that happened on Tuesday morning, and Bulgarian authorities are still unable to give the exact number of casualties.
