President Stevo Pendarovski, after the expiry of his term, will not use the privileges entitled by law.  Pendarovski’s Office told TV24 that will give up the right to use office with associates and a lifetime presidential pension.

After the expiry of his term, the president believes that he should be provided with an office in one of the state institutions where as a former president he would carry out protocol activities, the President’s Office said.

The proposal to cut the privileges of former presidents was raised by the Anti-Corruption Commission after it assessed the costs as unproductive. According to their calculations, Gjorge Ivanov and Branko Crvenkovski, for example, have over 100,000 euros a year available for office, driver, security, associates and presidential pensions.
