The public company that manages state owned real-estate, known under the clunky acronym ADISSDP, denied media reports that the head of its legal team, SDSM party activist Jon Frckoski, was involved in criminal conduct. According to the Lider news site, Frckoski refused to act in a case involving the well known tourist agency Orfej (Orpheus) and stopped activities to collect rent the agency owed to ADISSDP.

Frckoski is the son of law professor Ljubomir Frckoski, the powerful former Interior Minister in the early post-independence Governments, who was also the failed SDSM party presidential candidate in the 2009 elections. Jon Frckoski is a high level official in the SDSM party youth organization.
The agency acknowledged that Orfej has using a state owned office space for 14 years and owes rent for it, but denied that Frckoski impeded attempts to collect the rent, which now amounts to 3 million denars (50.000 EUR).

Our claims remain valid in full and we have not moved to nullify the claim. We are making attempts to get the company to sign a contract for reimbursement, and for a higher rent on the office space, but our approaches are being avoided. We have also given a deadline to the company to vacate the office, ADISSDP said in its response to the Lider report.

It was reported that the agency owners are also close to the ruling party and that this contributed to the lax approach in collecting the rent. According to Lider, Jon Frckoski sent an order to a notary to suspend the efforts to collect on the debt. Lider reports that with this move, Frckoski will allow the tourism agency to avoid paying any of its debt.
