Macedonia’s Public Prosecutor’s Office continues to monitor activities related to the electoral process through an interim commission, which can proceed upon crimes against elections and voting of the Criminal Code, it said in a press release on Saturday.

The public prosecutors are committed in the fight against the crimes related to the election process and voting, contributing to their suppression and prevention, said the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

It also informs that additional duty shifts will be established in the Public Prosecutor’s Offices during Sunday’s election day.

Prosecutors will urgently and with priority continue to act on indications of election irregularities. The received notifications will be immediately forwarded to the relevant basic public prosecutor’s offices, in order to check the allegations and make decisions for further action, it added.
