Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, known for tricking Zaev into thinking he was talking to Ukrainian Prime Minister Petro Poroshenko and activist Greta Thunberg, celebrated Zaev’s announced resignation with a photo from Skopje Square.

Viva Macedonia, Alexey Stolyarov – Lexus wrote on Facebook.

The photo shows Vovan and Lexus posing in front of the monument of Alexander the Great on Macedonia Square.

It is not certain when Vovan and Lexus visited Macedonia, where they practically became good friends with Zoran Zaev, after they lied to him that he was talking to Poroshenko. Vovan and Lexus published long conversations with Zaev, in which he agreed to commit a crime – to pay a bribe to the account of Patriarch Bartholomew in exchange for recognition of the Macedonian Church, and later, in a conversation with “Greta Thunberg”, agreed to close one of the two international airports in the country.

Zaev later began to communicate regularly with Vovan and Lexus, thinking that he was corresponding with Poroshenko, revealing security-interesting details about the situation in the Balkans.

Alexei Stolyarov and Vladimir Krasnov are known for their numerous fake interviews with world leaders and celebrities such as Elton John, John McCain, Jens Stoltenberg, Mikhail Gorbachev and Bernie Sanders.
