The sum of 1.5 million EUR, which businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev paid to Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13, was given in order to secure the approval for Kamcev to receive a new passport, reports the SDK news site.

According to the site, the money were ultimately meant Boki 13’s close friend, Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, who gave the approval that the Interior Ministry issues Kamcev a new passport, allowing him to leave the country. Kamcev was charged with money laundering by Janeva, spent some time in detention and then was placed in house arrest, and was approached by Boki 13 who offered him a sweetheart deal if he pays up. At one point during the negotiations, SDK reports, Kamcev requested to be allowed to travel outside of Macedonia, and the payment was negotiated to obtain a new passport.

Since two of his passports were already seized by the court, it was decided that the best approach would be for him to request a new passport, with Janeva’s approval. Kamcev was issued a new, temporary passport in May, set to expire in October.
