The Alliance for Albanians has reacted for not being invited to attend the leaders’ meeting between Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski.

Such meetings, according to party leader Zijadin Sela, should be attended by the four major political parties.

The Alliance for Albanians will not accept any agreement in the future that will be reached by only one bloc of political parties. The concept of four major political parties, two of the Macedonian political parties and two of the Albanian political parties, should continue, Sela said at Wednesday press conference. He added that as an Albanian opposition they have much to say on a number of topics, including the census, the prosecution law, electoral code reforms.

Sela said they condemn the behavior of the prime minister, who, he said, behaved in a nonchalant manner towards the opposition.

According to Sela, the behavior of VMRO-DPMNE, SDSM and DUI is unacceptable regarding amendments to the prosecution law. He added that they had submitted about 30 amendments.

SPO should be preserved. We have 27 amendments to the proposal for a new law on public prosecution. We hear the same proposal in the negotiations, the Prime Minister proposes it to Mickoski, Sela said.

The Alliance for Albanians proposes in the future that the SPO is headed by a prosecutor from abroad, more precisely from EU countries or the United States.
