Several convicts in the April 27 case recently submitted requests for pardon to President Gjorge Ivanov, the President’s Office has confirmed to Fokus. The last request arrived on Friday afternoon, but from the President’s Office didn’t reveal how many requests have been submitted so far.

On Friday afternoon, yet another request for pardon arrived in the President’s office, said the President’s Office.

The trial began in August last year and is one of the largest in recent Macedonian history. Initially, the process began against 33 defendants in relation to the storming of Parliament and the attacks on lawmakers of the current government. However, after the adoption of the Amnesty Law, 15 people were pardoned.

Only opera singer Igor Durlovski was acquitted.
