When publishing the data from the census in the part of religious affiliation, a technical error was made, so as citizens who declared themselves atheists, the number of 355 was stated, instead of 8,764 people who declared themselves not believers, Apostol Simovski told MKD.mk , Director of the State Statistical Office.
Simovski told MKD.mk that it is a matter of replacing the places of the numbers, ie instead of evangelicals – Methodists it was stated “atheists”. He adds that with the last census, a column for agnostics was added, because that is how those citizens requested to be registered (1,964 people).
He stressed that other data are okay and that citizens can find all data in their interest in the MakStat database of the Statistical Office.
