Dusan Ilievski, a former SDSM activist from Bitola, called on the SDSM member of Parliament Aleksandar Kiracovski to sue him, and not the media outlets who reported on a number of allegations raised by Ilievski.

Earlier this week Ilievski posted pictures of a luxury house in Bitola and Kiracovski standing next to a Opel Insignia, and openly asked the former SDSM party Secretary General to explain how he made the money to built a house and buy a pricey car in just two years. Kiracovski responded by announcing criminal charges – against the media outlets who carried Ilievski’s claims. He claims that the house is owned by his family and was not built after his party grabbed power. Kiracovski also denied that claim that he bought the car, but offered no specifics.

Ilievski told Kiracovski to stop threatening media outlets with charges, and press charges against himself, as the source of the information. Ilievski also claims that Kiracovski was racketeering businessmen and used the proceeds to build the house. Ilievski was a prominent SDSM activist who would frequently raise allegations of corruption in the Bitola region against officials from the previous VMRO-DPMNE led Government, allegations which were happily carried by the pro-SDSM media outlets, but after he began raising similar allegations against SDSM officials, he was shunned by his former party.

Kiracovski was recently dismissed as SDSM Secretary General, after the wave of allegations of nepotism in the party, for which he was partially blamed.
