The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) also rejected the latest measures proposed by the Commission for Infectious Diseases.

SSM says that vaccination must be the result of personal choice of employees and must not be carried out by force.

The process of immunization must not be carried out to the detriment of the basic rights of the citizens guaranteed by the Constitution, international conventions and laws and against the will of the individual, reads the reaction of SSM.

SSM informs that in the past period it has received complaints from employees who have not been vaccinated stating that they are not allowed to go to work without a vaccination certificate or a negative test done at their expense. Due to this, SSM addressed the State Labor Inspectorate, where they received an answer that such behavior of employers is illegal.
