Following Wednesday’s session of VMRO-DPMNE’s EC, MP Dafina Stojanoska said that there are no conditions for holding local elections in Stip and Plasnica and that they should be postponed until decent and normal conditions are provided.

The current situation was discussed at tonight’s session of the Executive Committee. We express deep concern about the development of health and economic situation related to the corona pandemic. It is evident that the Government, Zoran Zaev and Minister Filipce do not have control over the situation and manage the overall situation extremely poorly. The fact that in two days we have over 40 deaths and almost two and a half thousand new COVID-19 cases speaks for itself. Our country is at the very top in the region in terms of the number of infections and deaths compared to the number of tests performed. All this indicates that there are no conditions for holding local elections in Stip and Plasnica and that they should be postponed until decent and normal conditions for functioning are provided and fair election campaign, which was the unanimous position of the Executive Committee of VMRO- DPMNE. Today 1,192 new cases were registered, which are 1,192 new reasons for postponing the elections until normal conditions that would guarantee the health of the citizens are provide, she said.
